(PARK HILLS) -- The Mineral Area College English Department hosted its fifth annual Word Fest on Friday, March 24. Eleventh-grade students, teachers and parents from Arcadia Valley R-II, Farmington R-7, and Iron County C-4 schools attended, as well as community members and MAC students and employees.

The event included a writing contest for 11th-grade students, critical thinking language-building activities, lunch, and a presentation on graphic novels by Nick Kremer, coordinator of language arts 6-12 and social studies K-12 for Columbia Public Schools.
