Process Overview

Department chairs work with the Accreditation and Assessment Coordinator to outline the department’s assessment activities for the year. Department chairs sign an Assessment Agreement that details the expectations for that department.  

Faculty create course-level student learning outcomes and map those outcomes to the Missouri State Level goals. Faculty create an assessment plan for each student learning outcome that includes a description of the measurement and an acceptable target of achievement. Faculty enter findings in at the end of each semester. Departments meet once a semester to review outcomes, measurements, and findings. The department creates action plans targeted at improving student performance on learning outcomes.
