Debbie LaBruyere Retires From MAC

Debbie LaBruyere, Administrative Assistant for Career Planning, Special Services and Student Services at Mineral Area College (MAC), is retiring at the end of this month after 12 years. LaBruyere, a resident of Park Hills, began her tenure at MAC in December 2013.

She holds an Associate of Arts from MAC, and prior to joining the college’s staff, she worked as an administrative assistant at the Fox school district in Arnold, MO.

When reflecting on the high points of her career, LaBruyere noted the professional reward of seeing our dual credit students from local high schools come to MAC, emphasizing the importance of their early connection to higher education.

As she prepares for her next chapter, LaBruyere will miss the people who made her time at the college so rewarding. “MAC is the best place I’ve ever worked, and it’s because of all the great people here,” she said.

In retirement, LaBruyere looks forward to spending time with her husband Chris, sons Kyle and Corey, and her grandchildren. She plans on relaxing at the cabin more and attending more St. Louis Cardinals games.

Congratulations on your retirement, Debbie. Thank you for your service and dedication to the students and community of Mineral Area College!
