Associate of Arts

Mineral Area College offers an Associate of Arts (AA) degree at MAC Cape Girardeau. This transferable degree parallels the work done in the first two years of a four-year institution. Students are advised to contact their transfer institution or academic advisor for major and elective degree requirements. 

Behavioral Health Support

Starting Fall 2024, students can earn a Behavioral Health Support Associate of Applied Science degree at MAC Cape.

Advanced Placement LPN to RN in Cape Girardeau

Mineral Area College partners with Saint Francis Medical Center to provide the advanced placement LPN to RN program in Cape Girardeau. 

Students attend synchronous Zoom lectures streamed from MAC's main campus with simulation lab work and skills check-offs done on-site in Cape Girardeau. Students also have the opportunity to apply for participation in the Academic/Employer Partnership to begin working at SFMC before graduation.

Under grants made available through the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education A+ Schools program, qualified graduates from participating high schools are eligible for Missouri community college scholarship grants. Students must fulfill A+ program requirements at the high school before applying for grants.
