In 1983, a group of civic-minded citizens recognized the value Mineral Area College brings to our community: educationally, culturally and economically. The vision of these individuals created Mineral Area College Foundation, Inc. as a fund-raising appendage for Mineral Area College. For three decades, the Foundation, a 501(C)3 not-for-profit corporation, has worked as a vehicle to enhance the college’s mission. The Foundation’s mission is to advance, encourage, assist, promote and support the growth and development of Mineral Area College, its student body, faculty and administration. The activities and objectives of the Foundation include both ongoing and special projects and shall also include development and improvement of the college’s physical facilities. Much of the Foundation’s work has been quietly accomplished. The Foundation exemplifies a symbiotic relationship among alumni, business and friends of the college to enrich college programs as well as the quality of life in our local communities.

Official transcripts must be requested by submitting the electronic request form here.
Transcripts sent to institutions of higher education participating in ETX (Electronic Transcript Exchange) with the National Student Clearinghouse will be sent electronically. Transcripts sent to receivers other than higher education institutions will be mailed United States Postal Service first class.
After receipt of your transcript request, normal processing takes 2-5 business days. Additional time is required at the end of the semester.
There is a $8.00 charge for each official transcript, payable at the time of the request. There is an additional $10.00 charge for rush processing. Rush processing only reduces the time in which we process but does not include expedited mail service. All mailed transcripts are sent via first class mail. Students choosing to have a transcript mailed to themselves or emailed will have an additional $1.75 charge.
Official transcript requests are those sent directly to an employer or another institution of higher education or to any third party on behalf of the student. If the student receives and opens the sealed envelope before the third party, it is no longer considered to be official. Transcripts sent directly to the student are marked “Issued to Student”.
Transcripts will not be released for students who have a hold on their account.
If you are picking up your transcript in person, please bring your photo ID to Student Services at the Park Hills campus.
MAC cannot release your transcript to anyone (parents, spouse, employer or friend) without your signed written consent. If you choose to have someone other than yourself (parent, spouse, employer, relative, friend) pick up your transcript for you, the student must provide us with signed, written instructions with the name of the person picking up your transcript and all of the information above. Along with your letter of instruction, that person will have to provide us with their own picture ID.
Friends of Mineral Area College:
The impact of the COVID-19 crisis has had a tremendous impact around the globe. Unfortunately, the Mineral Area College community is not immune from the negative fallout. The MAC Foundation, faculty and staff want to extend our sincerest gratitude for concern that has been shown over the last few weeks for the well-being and immediate needs of our students.
In response to the students’ pressing needs, we have created an Emergency Student Relief Fund to help ensure the safety and success of our students. The Relief Fund is designated to offset a variety of obstacles our students are facing during this ever-changing crisis. Although the needs vary, at every turn the situation has created unforeseen circumstances for many of the students we serve. Many students need assistance with technology to enable the continuation and completion of courses virtually. Others are struggling to obtain the basic necessities such as food and hygiene products, health care, transportation and housing.
Mineral Area College is committed to responding quickly to our Cardinal family and ensuring our students make it through this crisis. Your help is more important than ever to continue our students’ success and continue the legacy of Mineral Area College. Our community has a longstanding tradition of rallying behind those in need and it is a true reflection of the compassion and caring nature of our supporters.
Thank you for your support and all you do for Mineral Area College. Please know that your generosity will be blessing many lives being sidelined by this crisis.
