Construction & Building Technology

Skilled carpenters are in high demand in our local communities and beyond! With over 400,000 available construction jobs in the country, the need for properly-trained, entry-level construction workers is greater than ever. Learn the fundamentals of carpentry and pave your pathway to work by enrolling in the Construction and Building Technology program.

Students may pursue either a certificate or associate degree path in the program. The majority of both pathways are centered around hands-on learning in our brand-new, 6500-square-foot shop facility. Students will learn blueprint reading and material estimation, layout and instrument usage, hand and power tools, wood framing, concrete formwork, and interior/exterior finishes.
  • Choose from one-year or two-year program

Upon completion of the program, students will also earn the following credentials:

An accredited certificate program, Construction & Building Technology is a one-year program designed to provide the student with basic skills essential for entry into the carpentry field.
