MAFAA Summer Camps

8th Grade to College • $250 (commuter), $400 (on-campus housing)
Experience the fun of being part of the Big Band! This camp is for students 8th grade to college level who play trumpet, trombone, saxophone, piano, guitar, bass, vibraphone, and drums. Students must have 2 years of instruction or be proficient on their instrument of study. Students will be paired together based on experience and will spend the week gaining experience in being part of the big band with instruction on theory, improvisation, history, master classes, and more. Directed by Dave Dickey, Kevin Gianino and other special guests
July 21–25, 2025

Age 7 to College • $95
Act out this summer and join us for Theatre Camp! From improvisation and reader’s theatre to dance and musicals, we’ve got something for everyone! Students will be grouped together by age and experience, gain friendships that last a lifetime, and learn to express themselves creatively to build confidence and more! July 28 - August 1, 2025

Age 14 to College • $95
Students will experience a week of high-energy fun with singing, cool choreography, upbeat music, brilliant lighting, special effects, costumes, neat props/staging, and many solo opportunities! At the end of the week, students present a spectacular performance with an exhilarating theme that truly comes to life on stage! It is a wonderful experience and SO much fun.
July 28 - August 1, 2025
4 - 6 pm (Monday-Thursday), 1 - 3 pm (Friday), Mineral Area College
Ages 8 to 14 • $40
Students learn fun songs with singing and movement centered around an exciting theme! They will join the full show choir cast in the Friday night Showcase! Junior Show Choir students experience a week of upbeat music, singing, costumes, staging, lighting, solo opportunities and SO much more!
August 4-8, 2025
9 am - 4 pm, Mineral Area College
Middle Schoolers • $95
Come make music with us! Students will prepare music for a concert on the last day, as well as receive masterclasses, music theory sessions, and access to professional musicians from the area. This camp is for middle school students who have completed at least one year of band instruction. Directed by Mrs. Linda Huck and assisted by area band directors.
