Commencement is Friday, May 16, 2025 at 7:00pm

Mineral Area College holds one commencement ceremony each year in May. Students who graduate in the previous Summer, Fall, and current Spring semesters are eligible to participate in the ceremony. There is no additional fee to participate in the May ceremony.

Program Details

Tickets

Due to limited seating, each graduate will receive 5 tickets for their guests. Tickets will be required to enter the Robert E. Sechrest Fieldhouse. No extra tickets will be given due to limited space. Children who can sit on someone’s lap will not need a ticket. Tickets can be picked up at Student Services, available starting May 5.

Live Streaming

Rehearsal

We will not have a rehearsal.

Day of Commencement Schedule

5:00 pm - Doors Open

6:00 pm - Students Meet in Concourse

Graduates should be in the Arts & Sciences/Academic Hall Concourse no later than 6:00 pm Friday, May 16, 2025, to pick up the index card with their name and to line up. Remember to hang your tassels on the right!

7:00 pm - Commencement Begins

Commencement exercises begin promptly at 7:00 pm and will last approximately one hour.

Post Ceremony

Photo Ops Across Campus

Immediately following the commencement ceremony, head to various spots on campus to take your own photos with the graduate.

Diplomas

Graduates will receive a diploma cover during the commencement ceremony. Official diplomas will be mailed approximately 4-6 weeks after final grades are determined.

Get Professional Pictures

Thompson Photography will be taking individual photographs of graduates on Friday, May 16th from 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm in the Private Dining Room next to the cafeteria in the MAC Field House.

Accepted forms of payment are cash or check only.

You may also call Thompson Photography at 573-431-1408 to make additional arrangements if needed.

Send a Digital Congratulations to Your Graduate

Head to our free digital community bulletin board and wish your graduate congratulations through videos, pictures, or just heartfelt words. Just click "Add to Board" to send your message and be sure to include the graduate's name (can send as many messages as you want). This board will be public for everyone to see.
