2022 MAC Science Fair

St. Joseph Catholic School 6th grader Parker Hendrixson received Best of Show and 1st Place-Other STEM for her entry at the 37th Mineral Area College Science Fair

2022 MAC Science Fair Winners

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Mineral Area College Science Fair returned to campus on Friday, April 8, 2022. 101 students representing 6 local school districts spent the day presenting their science projects to judges, friends, family, and the community.

The day culminated in an awards ceremony recognizing an overall Best of Fair winner along with 1^st-3^rd place, and honorable mentions in three categories, Life Science, Physical Science, and Other STEM.

Life Science

1^st place: Ava Cartee, 6^th Grade, St. Joseph Catholic School
2^nd place: Clare Maloney, 8^th Grade, St. Joseph Catholic School
3^rd place: Chloe Runk, 6^th Grade, St. Joseph Catholic School
Honorable Mention: Samuel Egan, 6^th Grade, Lincoln Intermediate; Karlee Mathes, 7^th Grade, Farmington Middle School

 

Physical Science

1^st place: Brock Busenbark, 8^th Grade, St. Joseph Catholic School
2^nd place: Carson Golden Koppeis and Kevin O’Hara, 8^th Grade, St. Joseph Catholic School
3^rd place: Cadence Pegram, 8^th Grade, Farmington Middle School
