Mineral Area College Welcomes Lamb as Vice President of Operations
Scott Lamb of Ironton has joined Mineral Area College (MAC) as the new Vice President of Operations. He comes to MAC from BJC-Parkland Health Center, where he served as the Facilities Management, Emergency Preparedness & Public Safety Director, and Life Safety Officer.
MAC President Dr. Joe Gilgour said Lamb brings over twenty-five years of experience in health and safety, facility, and project management experience to the college with a proven record of success as a coordinator, manager, and strategic planner.
“Scott has a great background in project management and will be a tremendous asset to the college as we continue to grow and improve our campus facilities,” Gilgour said. “His professional experience will be a great addition to our leadership team.”
In the newly created role, Lamb will oversee and manage MAC’s operational functions. As a member of the President’s Cabinet, his expertise will help promote the effective and efficient operation of administrative and support functions to further the college's mission and strategic objectives, including the oversight of projects funded by the bond issue passed this spring.
"I’m excited to bring my experience in facilities and operations management, project coordination, and strategic organizational planning to the leadership team at MAC," Lamb said. "This is a great opportunity for me to make a meaningful impact on the college and community by driving innovation, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and promoting sustainability."
Lamb received an Associate of Science in Design/Drafting/CADD/Advanced Technology from Mineral Area College and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Management from Central Methodist University. In addition to BJC-Parkland Health Center, he has served in environmental health, safety, and facilities management roles at Buckman North America and The Doe Run Resources Corporation.
