MAC Foundation Announces "The President's Ball: All In For MAC"

The Mineral Area College (MAC) Foundation is thrilled to announce "The President's Ball: All In For MAC," a casino night dedicated to supporting the annual Enhancement Grant campaign. This exciting event aims to raise crucial funds to enhance educational opportunities and resources for Mineral Area College students and faculty.

The President's Ball is scheduled for Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. The event will be held at the MAC Industry & Technology Center. Guests are encouraged to wear cocktail attire for a glamorous evening of fun and philanthropy. Tickets are $150 each and include food, an open bar, and casino chips to play various games. While these chips have no cash value, they can be exchanged for raffle tickets at the end of the night for a chance to win some great prizes.

"I’m excited to invite you to go ‘all in’ for MAC at the new President’s Ball fundraising event,” said MAC President Dr. Joe Gilgour. “We’re planning an unforgettable evening where gaming and giving converge for a powerful cause.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy a lively casino night atmosphere, with all proceeds directly benefiting the MAC Foundation's Enhancement Grant campaign. This annual campaign receives an up to $3-to-$1 match from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), giving MAC substantially increased purchasing power for new equipment, curriculum, and training for our students.

"Contributing to the Enhancement Grant campaign offers incredible value, which is why we’re excited to be building this new event around it," said Kevin Thurman, MAC Foundation Executive Director. "Thanks to the generous matching funds from DESE, your dollar can literally go further, maximizing the impact on our students' education. It’s a fantastic way to invest in our community’s future workforce.”

The MAC Foundation is currently seeking event sponsors to partner in making this year's President's Ball a resounding success. Sponsorship opportunities offer excellent visibility and demonstrate a commitment to higher education in our region. Interested businesses and individuals are encouraged to contact the MAC Foundation for more information.

Supporters are also encouraged to purchase their tickets early to secure their spot at what promises to be a memorable evening. Further details on ticket sales and sponsorship levels can be found at MAC.edu/casino.
