Associate of Arts (AA)

The Associate of Arts is the most appropriate degree for the majority of transfer students because it parallels the work required in the first two years of a baccalaureate degree at a four-year institution. The AA degree is awarded to students completing the requirements of the academic program with a minimum of 62 credit hours, including 42 hours of general education.

Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT)

The Associate of Arts in Teaching is awarded to students seeking the first component of a degree in teacher education. Students complete a core of general education courses as well as electives from their major area of study. The AAT degree is transferable, but students should also work with their transfer institution for additional requirements.
