Mineral Area College (MAC) and University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis (UHSP) finalized an articulation agreement on Nov. 15, allowing students to seamlessly transfer from MAC into three UHSP bachelor degree programs. The agreement creates three pathways for students to earn an Associate of Arts from MAC and transfer directly into a Public Health, Healthcare Administration and Management, or Data Science program at UHSP.

“Mineral Area College strives to expand partnerships and opportunities for all of our students to continue their academic journey beyond graduation,” said Dr. Keith Zoromski, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs at MAC. “This articulation agreement serves as evidence that Mineral Area College values the opportunity to corroborate with each of its university partners to mutually support students.”

Angie Erickson, MSN, RN, Dean of Health Professions at MAC, stated, “The articulation agreement between UHSP and MAC serves as a bridge to connect aspiring healthcare professionals with a comprehensive education pathway. By providing a clear roadmap for students, we foster a stronger and more diverse healthcare workforce to meet the evolving needs of our communities.”

“UHSP is excited to partner with MAC to provide students with opportunities to pursue our global and population health-related academic and research programs,” said Brenda Gleason, chief academic officer at UHSP. “This new partnership will also help grow our engagement with the St. Louis community and beyond to promote health equity and positively impact health outcomes.”

“This partnership with MAC will allow us to further the health workforce and career needs within our communities and across the state,” noted David Steeb, dean of the College of Global Population Health at UHSP.
